This thread is a few years old Joy.  :)

But I found this:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=hooker&GSfn=elizabeth&GSbyrel=all&GSdyrel=all&GScntry=50&GSob=n&GRid=144866096&df=all&

Cemetery Road runs NE into Nethershot Road and the green area you can see on google maps I believe is Prestonpans New Cemetery (have a look at streetview). Looking at the dates it is doubtful that Elizabeth is there.

At the other end of Cemetery Road is a church called Prestongrange Parish Church (address is 15 Kirk St) - probably with a graveyard attached. Apparently the last burial here was in 1970. Once again, you can see it on google maps.

There is only a short distance between the two cemeteries.

I hope you manage to find her.

Thank you for this. I guess the cemetery is located in Prestonpans and is called Prestonpans Cemetery. I don't see an address though and I can't seem to see it on the map.

I have just added the address to my post. Looking on google maps if you look at the south western end of Cemetery Road, this road virtually runs into the churchyard. The church is slightly SE of this point.

There looks to have been some newish development behind the church (car parks etc) which may have gone over the top of part of the old churchyard. Shame if that is the case ...

WRONG!

Apologies Joy. I have got that completely wrong. I was leading you to the Manse rather than the church.  :-[

Here it is - over the other side of the road (and very lovely it is too):

If you are visiting the area, you may be interested in some background including some information about the church:

Thank you so much. I really appreciate all your help. This will definitely make it easier to find where I am going. The info about the church and area is very interesting too.

You were a great help. Thank you for your time. Joy

Hi Joy,

Not sure if you have seen the photo of the Monumental Inscription on the Find a Grave website, but here is a link to it.
