NEWMAN, George Eli or Eli George, place of birth possibly Devon, c1850 served with the Royal Artillery for 18 years in India, Gibraltar and Bermuda.   Married Bessie Burch 1891 in Dawlish Devon.  Any information on George's or Eli's (he has his name down on paper both ways) parents would be most welcome.   Monewman
