Hi Shirley,
thanks for your reply. I'm not sure whether you can help me, I'm  looking for a Jean/John Bree born about early 1880s. Unable to help you with a middle name or place of birth. I believe it to be Jersey, Channel Island but am unsure. All I know is that he eventually marries an Amelia Carboulec (born c1882) who was apparently born in France.
Thanks

Hi

Have you had any luck? Just seen this post and am researching the same people and have hit the same brick wall. Would be interested to know if you have made any progress.

Hi allycat and jamie

I just posted that i am great granddaughter of john frances Bree and Amelia carboulec Bree
My father was their youngest william George Bree born 1927 he was 14 during the occupation, i know my grandmother had come over from france as i think a maid but the Bree family were all farmers and farm labour's, they were at 12a caprice villias part of occupation as Amelia and her daughter Doris both went to prison for larceny and theft i do have bit more info as my sister and i have just started tracing our family in channel islands, ive attached some of the registration cards i have found
