"K-Lines" (No.2 Internment camp) was built in 1939 on the East side of the Curragh Camp. There was a No.1 Internment camp was situated in the West side of the camp which housed members of the IRA. The main function of the K-Lines was for the internment of any servicemen of either the axis or allied forces, who were captured on Irish soil during the Second World War. www.curragh.info/klines.htm
