Ramspott
« on: Tuesday 08 January 08 07:30 GMT (UK) »
Hello all

Does anyone else have a Ramspott in there tree.

I have Harold Ramspott , he was the third husband to one of my ancestors and i have never come across the name before.

In fact when i have been looking for his and his wifes deaths i could only  find three Ramspott deaths between 1962 and 2005.

Hello suz

I have just found Harold Hayden Ramspott first marriage to Jessie M Harkus in Tyne mouth 1932, so now I am trying to find her death .

The Ramspott blood line must have been sturdy as the three deaths I have found  are aged 90, aged 82 and aged 90

So going on this I suppose that Harold being born 1907 could still be alive.

Do you have access to the 1901 census.

If so can you check for JOHN RAMSPOTT please.

I have access to 1901 but cannot find John -when and where was he born? His surname may have been mistranscribed.

There is a marriage of a John Ramspott Dec qtr 1906 Hull 9d 55 - thae females on the page are Beatrice Lazenby and Maud Mary Underwood

maybe if you could purchase the marriage cert it would give some clue as to who his father was and you could trace him through that ?

Hi, my surname was Ramspott but my parents had it changed by deed poll when I was about 12 yeares old.. My uncle was Harrold Ramsportt who moved to Adelaide in the 70's I think. My father was Harrolds brother Roland (Ken) Ramspott.
