Hertfordshire old maps
« on: Tuesday 04 January 05 21:52 GMT (UK) »
I have recently acquired two old maps of Herts. One is from 1835 and shows the county after the first electoral reform with the Boroughs, polling places and Hundreds.
The other is from 1836 and shows the county divided into its 16 Poor Law Unions- those later became the basis of the 1837 Registration Districts and still later they were bundled into the new Parliamentary Constituencies when real electoral reform took place.
If anybody would like to see these please PM me with your proper email address and I will send either as an email attachment which you can actually print from as well.
Please say which one interests you 8)
