Would some kind person please look on the 1841 and 51 Census for:

Hi Tati
Thanks for the census details - could Susans' birth place possibly be Barcombe?

Just checked 1861 - Barcombe indeed. She's 69 now and still Sarah (I saw a possible marriage, 1845 I believe, for a Henry Verrall to possibly Sarah Ann Chapman)

Kay,

Have you seen this site:

http://www.bandhpast.co.uk/

Take your time to explore it - you can find a map which shows where Henry was living, how much it's value was and lots of social and local histroy for Barcombe and Hamsey.

Many thanks for the information you have given me.  Could I be really cheeky and ask for the full 1861 details please if you have them.

Nell
Yes I have had a look at that website - pick it up when you posted it on the Resource board - very informative.

Thank you again both
