James and John Gollop

Trying to find Marriage and deaths for James and John Gollop. Born to William and Mary Ann Gollop. James born 1883. John born 1889. Cant seem to find anything on them. There is also a Thomas Gollop listed in 1901 as 8 years old any help appreciated      al b

Re: marriages.  If there is nothing on the partially transcribed sites (freebmd etc) you will have to search the full GRO index

Re: deaths - if they are both on the 1901 census they could have died anytime after then - John was only 12 at that time and James 18.  They could have lived into their sixties/seventies so you may have to search up to the 1950's/1960's

Again - you will need to search the full GRO index for that information if it is not on the partially transcribed websites

When and where have you found them in Dorset?

Hi  Have no birth cert. but they were my grandmas brothers They were both born and lived in Lyme Regis The 1891 cenc. lists James as 8  John as 2    Thanks  al b

I can find a possible birth registration for John:

John Gollop  Mar 1888 Axminster 5b 1 

Axminster would include Lyme Regis.

There's a possible marriage for John but in Devon:

John Gollop  Dec 1910  Tiverton    5b   891


The closest birth registration for James I found was this:

Lawson James Gollop  Jun 1886  Poole  5a  276


There are possibly 2 marriages :

Lawson James Gollop    June 1907 in Southampton   and

Lawson J Gollop  Jun 1918  in  Hastings

Hi  Acording to what I have as far as birth record you have John right James was born 1883 He was born first and then grandma 1886 then john ther was another Thomas but he died arround 1920. Thank you been having a time with the family dont no much about them.  al b

Hi Allibaker Henry f Fouder was Samual f Hodder first son of Mary Ann of first marriage. Thomas Gollop died 1920 Trying to find marriage of John and James. Seems like they fell off the earth. They were my grandmas brothers any help is greatly appreciated      al b
