A quick query ... Tolpuddle
« on: Sunday 27 January 08 15:16 GMT (UK) »
Looking at the Tolpuddle baptisms on the excellent Dorset OPC site, I see in the notes column, there is the name of the Vicar.   But occasionally there is another name, with 'Off. Min.' beside it ?

What might this mean ?   Official minister seems a possibility ... but then what does that mean ?

Could it be "officiating minister" rather than "official"? Thatmight make more sense. :)
