Yes, I am well but I am not sure how to retrieve a private message.  When I tried last time on my messages, there was no message there.  If you want my Email.address, let me know.  I have now 16, soon to become 17 Great nephews and nieces' would you believe so you have a big family on the other side of the border now.

All the Best

Barry.

I am not sure how to retrieve a private message.
Scroll up to the top of the page. Click on 'My Messages' in the brown banner below the picture of poppies etc. Then click on 'Inbox'.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

New to rootschat. Looking for Gerry Farrell who says he has photos of the gravestones from Old Dalbeth Cemetery. Looking for the Campbell Family buried in Lair #2 and #5. Any information would be appreciated. :)

Evening all,

I'll be visiting Glasgow for New Year and I'm hoping to find my great great grandfather's grave. He died in 1928 and is buried in section 16, lair 1915, in St Peter's, Dalbeth.

I found this but I may as well be looking at Hieroglyphics  :)

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Sharon

Hi Sharon
If it's St Peter's then here is a map I put together some time ago. Section 16 is easy to find as all sections are well signed. Follow the main path/road from main gate round to the right of the office then just keep going, sec 16 on right about half way down. I would expect lair to be somewhere in the middle of the sect. If they are around staff are very helpful in locating lair with you. Hope this helps.

Thanks Davie!

Yep - It's St Peter's. I looked up the registers in the Mitchell Library when I visited a few years ago.

I'm not hopeful that there will be a gravemarker but at least the walk will blow a few cobwebs away on New Year's Day  :D

Hope you find something on your visit. By the way your 'map' doesn't look familiar at all?
