Some of the marriage details:

This one doesn't quite match:

Marriages Mar 1901   (>99%)
STENTON    Eliza Ann

Maybe George joined the army?  I can't see an obvious death for him 1891-1901, but I can't spot him on the 1901 census, so wonder if he was abroad?

Thank you Rambler, for the GRO certificate details.  It was kind of you and much appreciated.  :D I will see if I can some of them soon...

It is a bit of a mystery regarding George STENTON.  I know he was close to the family and suddenly disappeared out of character never to be seen again.  His mother Mary Ann, was very distressed, visited several large record offices around the country in the hope of tracking him down but found no trace.

Maybe he went abroad, joined the forces, changed his name or possibly was murdered?  He is an unsolved missing person case and I'm not sure how to pursue him.  Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks again!
