1871/1861 census look up request

I don't know how well indexed the 1861 and 1871 censuses are but here goes.

I am looking for the following family:

Catherine (maiden name Frood) Gallacher (born c.1848)and her Husband John Gallacher/Gallagher (born c.1848).

I have them in the 1881 census living at 12 Victoria Street Govan, Lanark and wondered if they are at the same address in 1871.

When they married in 1868 John Gallacher was living at 49 Victoria street so if anyone could look up the 1861 census and confirm that he was living at the same address in Govan that would also be a great help.

I don't have any idea where Catherine Frood was living during the 1861 census but her later census entries say she was born in Glasgow and that her father's name was James and he was a shipbuilder's journeyman and her mother's name was Elizabeth.  Catherine's father was deceased by the time she married John Gallagher in 1868.

For anyone who can give me any help I would say thanks as I have hit a complete dead end with this part of my family as the Frood's are a complete mystery.

There was no James or Elizabeth Frood

Only found one Catherine Frood

Mary Frood age 24 born Lanark
Catherine Frood age 16 born Glasgow.


Found two John Gallachers  born around 1848

Census taken Glasgow, Barony, Springburn
622/2 emum dist 7 page 15

Patrick Gallaher age 34 born Ireland
Alice age 36 born Ireland
John age 14 born Ireland
Henry age 10 born Ireland
Ann age 7 born Ireland
Mary age 5 born Glasgow
Patrick age 2 born Springburn
Sarah age 1 born Springburn

Mary Gallacher age 52 born Ireland
Felix age 30 born Ireland
Rosanah age 27 born Ireland
John age 16 born Paisley

There were other Johns,  but one was aged 17 and about 4 aged 11

          Bridget (Gallacher) 45    Ireland
          Mary  Forrester        22   Govan
          James Forrester      21    Govan
          Catherine Forrester 16    Govan
          Thomas  Forrester   14    Govan
All I found from Mary''s birth certificate what's that John and Bridget were from Mayo Ireland. No town mentioned.Married 16th July 1853 Govan. Any connection with your Gallachers.
