London Marriage Advice

I've come to the London page for your advice, I'm normally confined to the Surrey/Sussex pages but looking for an elusive marriage which didn't seem to have happened in Surrey, although the groom would appear to be a Dorking man through & through!
The name is JAMES BRAVERY (b. 1779 Dorking) married someone by the name of SARAH.  First child, that I know about, was born 1822.
Some marriage's within this family have happened at, St. George's, Hanover Sq, St. Anne's, Soho, Westminster, both City churches.
Question, what would be my best resource in looking for a marriage in the city, considering I haven't got a clue as to which church & there are hundreds of them!  I'm not in the UK, but there is a possibility that I might get in a trip in the Spring, so could visit the LMA or FRC,

Try and see if anyone has access to the Pallots index.
There are microfiche around for marriage licences but I can't help with that as mine is from 1776-1800 and you will need the next one.  Try your local society of genealogists to see if they have it.

There is a St Catherines index online these days, but don't know what years they cover, but you do have to pay to see it and can't for the life of me remember exactly what it covers.
I had a look on IGI but couldn't find anything and of course Free BMD only starts at 1837.
Couldn't find anything on the Parish registers on Ancestory.com either.
Sorry can't be of much assistance.

A Complete Transcription for the March Quarter of 1849
Transcription for the Year 1856 (ongoing)
Entries missing from the published indexes: 1856, 1858 & 1861

Doesn't seem to cover the dates you want

The marriage indexes you mentioned have been trawled to death by many kind souls.  But I have found a marriage licence allegation at the SOG in the name of James Bravery, so fingers crossed it's him!

Bob, do explain about your html page where you put your links.  I'm so fed-up when I try to be helpful & copy & paste a link for someone, by going through favourites I lose the rootschat page

Hi Jane
You can always do what I do - I leave this window open and reopen IE - so that I have it  there twice, that way you can swap between your posting and what you are searching for.
If all else fails and we can't get Bob's idea up and running for ourselves - at least we have a back up that works.
