Wilsons of Stamford: silversmiths and clockmakers
« on: Saturday 23 February 08 15:01 GMT (UK) »
I'm doing some research into a Wilson family from Stamford, who made and repaired clocks

Does anyone have links with Joseph T Wilson, 1824-1874;
he was married to Fanny and had several children including Arthur Ralph (again a watchmaker - halifax) and Charles E (a singer!)

Apparently there are others; mostly having workshops in All Saints, Stamford- including Ralph Wilson (1729-1829; died in Peterborough)

Any info appreciated

From White's Directory of Lincolnshire for 1842:

Stamford: Watchmkrs, Jewelrs, &c:
"Wilson Joseph, All Saints' street"
