As I said earlier on this thread there doesn't seem to be any Dumbrell birth registered in Whitechapel in the same quarter as Henriatta's death  :-\

Sorry girls - I'm thoroughly confused.  Whitechapel (as in London) or Whitchurch (as in Hampshire) ?

I believe it's Whitechapel as in London, Nell (Going by the death reference anyway!)  :P

There is no evidence of a birth registration in Whitechapel and no death registration for a male Dumbre(i)ll in Middlesex between 1842 and 1844.

Whereas a birth might not be registered a death is far less likely not to have been registered.


What is the evidence for the live birth and death of a son?

Hi I have just joined after coming across this post quite randomly so had to join and reply ,William Dumbrell and Harriet Dearling were my Great Great Grandparents and now I have finally cleared up a problem in my family history search with gives me two different GGGrandmothers ,now I know why ,Thanks
