Hello Hastie

Oooh, yes please, if you have the time and interest.

John Williamson died 1877 and his wife Jane Williamson (nee Marshall) died Stranraer. I don't know how much information you need but their children named as follows too if possible. I don't know where they were buried but they lived at Back Ramparts, Stranraer.

John, Robert, Alexander, Francis and Mary.

There are also numerous Marshalls but, as yet, I haven't sorted out which are "mine" and which are not.

Any way, thanks in advance.

Judy

No, as you said, it doesn't fit in with my timescale. Interesting reading though. What's in a name like "Girzel"? Where does this originate from?

Where exactly is Inch Churchyard please?

Inch is East of Stranraer. Not sure of mileage but not far.

Hi Terry, Would that cover Glasserton and Whithorn, both Dumfriesshire?  I cannot find Inch on my map. If so I am looking for McClure or McLure. Thanks Evelina

It could be a typo and infact be Grizel.  I've seen this name several times in my own ancestors search in this area.

Cheers
