Thanks wozzle,

The Hughes family you have found in Wishaw Road are my family. I am wondering, because the family deinitely lived in 2 Nimmo's Rows, maybe this was after 1901. If number 2 went from one Hughes family to another...surely this is more than coincidence.

I think I am going to have to search scotlandspeople tonight...

Thankyou so much for the info you have provided!! I am sure my family are linked in some way to the Hughes in Nimmos' Row.

Matt :)

I am really new to all things to do with ancestory however I typed in Nimmo's Rows and your question popped up. My father was born in Nimmos rows holy town  in 1901 and according to a site he is registered in the census. I could not help but notice  the list given and he was not on it My question is If he is not mentioned then could others not be also. I am seeking info on my family and really don't know where to start.  It is becoming over whelming. Our family name is Berwick and his father was a miner. . Any ideas :o
