Your help would be much apprieciated!!

I don't know what info you can provide but here's a wish list.

Can you find out if Eric Heard Perkins was in Tasmania around 1922 onwards with his wife Eveline May Perkins and Children Howard Perkins and Cynthia M Perkins. Did they have an children in Australia?

Also can you trace a John Perkins b 1812 as the father of Herbert Howard Perkins. I dont know where he was born. He may have been born in Tasmania or emigrated there. Its a mystery. I would love to know where he came from, who his parents were and if he had any siblings. He was a politician. One of his children was a politian too William Watchorn Perkins.

Also can you tell how long Alan Howard Perkins was in Australia. He was born 1889 in Wokingham, Berkshire. He was definatly in Australia during WW1 as I have found his army enrollement forms in Queensland online dated 1915. I don't know how long he was there and where he lived. He may have been with relatives but I don't know who. He's not on the UK 1911 census.

Any info would be fantastic. Hope thats not all to much.

***Alexander Perkins, Labourer. Longreach QLD is living with him...is he a brother or another relo?

****Also Frank (butcher) & Lillie Esther (home duties) Perkins, Parrot Lane, Longreach, QLD...could be more relo's.

You said you have his file from the NAA? If not you can download it for free on the above link.

So, going by all this he arrived in QLD Australia in 1910 & left 1915 when he joined the AIF as he was discharged in the UK in 1919.

Do you have any reason to suspect that they returned to Australia?

From the data I have it looks like he lived his life out in the UK...  after being born in AUS.

Maybe at sometime they came & visited family in AUS, after the war with his wife & young family?

JOHN PERKINS

Born: 1812
Marriage 1: 23 Apr 1840
Marriage 2: 1865
Died: 5 Aug 1877
Children to both marriages.

John married twice...  1840 to first wife Emmerly Francis Watchorn & when she died in 1863 he remarried Elizabeth Wilson 1865.

This is proven from his Will, which I will attach to another post.
