Hi Cathyval

I find your post during research into my ancestor Thomas Lucas, a shoemaker who was born in Norton, Radnorshire.
Norton is in the Presteigne district and is on the border with Hereford, so more in England than Wales.
I've had difficulty tracing this particular ancestor but I found out he was a shoemaker from the marriage certificate of his son and also found the apprenticeship records for Thomas from 1800.

I expect you have researched your family in depth after all this time, but if there is anything I can help with then let me know.
Kind regards
Westwitch

Thank you for your response.  I have not been working on genealogy for several years due to eye surgeries, moving, etc.  I hope to get back to soon so may contact you in the future.
