deportation records from Canada
« on: Wednesday 19 March 08 12:20 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone tell me where I might find deporation records from Canada to Ireland circ mid 1920's (1924/5), possibly Quebec region.  Patrick McMahon was deported for being involved in contraband (moonshine), and sent back to Ireland.
 ???
He arrived on the Montreal, Canadian Pacific line which left Liverpool bound for Quebec on 14/06/1924.

 - right down the bottom there's a bit of info. Unfortunately doesn't look like there's much.
Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

nothing there for him, not even on that passenger list :' if anyone comes across anything in old papers perhaps as nothing on the deporation records for 1924/5.
