dumfries railway station
« on: Tuesday 01 April 08 18:25 BST (UK) »
My grandfather worked at Dumfries railway station in the early thirties, he was employed , I believe as chief clerk, my father later was a train guard based in Dumfries. When Beecham made his cuts to the railways in the late fifties my father left British railways. Can anyone suggest how I can source B.R. records relating to my father and grandfather, thanks stoop.

He was very probably in the union, so you could try the union that replaced the NUR, the RMT. They have good records.
