Thanks again

Thanks NorrieG

I dont know the best way to do this really, not sure when people were not buried there anymore so will skip my grandads generation and start with his mother and her siblings.

Elizabeth McIver Duff 1889 - 1969
Bessie Duff abt 1890
George Duff abt 1892
Nellie Duff abt 1894 - 1979
Maggie Duff abt 1896
Katie Duff abt 1898 - 1954
Michael Duff abt 1886
Donald Duff abt 1885
John Duff abt 1883

These were all children of Margaret McIver/McIvor and John Duff. John Duff lived 1857 - 1941 and died in Dunfermline and was the son of John Duff and Elizabeth 'Betsy' Hodge.

I have a William Hodge 1803 - 1856 s/o Robertson Galloway and William Hodge.

I have a Margaret McIvor/McIver (married name Aitken) 1821 - 1898 d/o Donald McIvor & Margaret Philip.

I have a Catherine Barrie (married surname Finlayson) 1800 - 1880 who I believe was d/o Jean Bryson and James Barrie.

I'll leave at that for now!

Thanks, it is much appreciated  ;D

Hello from New Zealand
this is my first message on rootschat.

I would appreciate if you have any information about the Wilson's below all from Cupar.

I see two of them on your MI list of old Cemetery Cupar.

18.    James Wilson       Jane Scott
18     Thomas Wilson    Mary Anne  Robertson.

James Wilson birth about 1720 Cupar   married    Mrs James Wilson,  7 children as follows:

Katherine Wilson  birth  1746    married   Robert Pratt          1777
James Wilson       birth  1747                                                                                                                                                          William Wilson      birth  1749   married    Euphemia Law      1809,                                                                                                    Mary Wilson         birth  1754                                                                                                                               Thomas Wilson    birth   1756   married    Campbell Watson  1783 ,                                                                                  Archibald Wilson  birth   1757                                                                                                                              John Wilson         birth   1759           all this family born in Cupar.

Perhaps their are no cemeteries  now for the 1700's  ?

Thomas Wilson 5th child of above married Campbell Watson 1783,   14 children as follows:

some relatives of these people still living in Cupar.

Looking forward to your reply

There is no 1841 Census for Cupar but you could
check the later censuses and see if you find them
let me know if you require further lookups.

Dear NorrieG,
Could you provide the MI details for,

104   William Young   died 1816 age 55
please?

I believe William Young had a grandson Robert Young b1811 who went to Australia and died in OZ in 1870.

I am hoping he is the William married to Janet Young (maiden name I believe) although you never know! Thanks Tony
