Hello ,

William Rawcliffe captain of the Schooner The Richard Roper,
died 17Th of August 1868,late of Ulverston,

Among one of his crew lists is William Seatle Rawcliff aged 21,
baptised ,Ulverston 1830 son of Henry and Jane ,so I shall for now assume he is a nephew,

Henry born Ulverston 1841 to William and Hannah is his eldest son,he was reported washed overboard out of Liverpool 1867 ,reported in the Ulverston Mirror,Feb 1867,from the schooner James and Agness,

Hannah born 1849 Ulverston, according to the IGI,daughter of William and Hannah,

William,
Henry ,
John Rawcliffe are all listed as sea captains in Ulverston,in the book Furness folk and facts between 1850 and 1890,by the author William White published in 1930,sadly there are no further details,

Am I looking at the correct family please,
