Have you looked at the Ayrshire Roots Surname Database? There are 74 Findlay's and 51 Hood's listed.

Hi Pamela,

It may be an idea to start a new thread with your query as it may be lost in this one.

If you list the names of your people of interest in the 'Subject' box on the new thread it will show up easily when people scroll the board i.e. will be found easier....just a thought to help you?
