Link: Hospitals and Nursing during WW1
« on: Thursday 23 December 04 21:59 GMT (UK) »
This was forwarded to me from another list. It is about the early days of plastic surgery during and after WWI. I tis the most complete archive of Medical notes from the Great War in the World.

Gillies Archive St Mary's Hospital Sidcup by Dr Andrew Bamji

http://gilliesarchives.org.uk                   New link 2013

There are some very disturbing illustrations of the type of facial injuries treated.

Not the sort of thing to cheer you up at Chistmas. I know, but perhaps the sort of dish that should be served to all politicians on Christmas morning.
