ShaunJ,

I had found the marriages - but then Alexander and Rebecca seem to have disappeared - don't know what happened to them - I was hoping to find a relative on Genes but regretfully no success.

I'm doing a favour for a friend.
Her grandfather was an Alexander Mungo (c.1906-1972). He married a Georgina Mutch Sim, and lived with her in Peterhead where they had three children between 1942 and 1946. He died in Dundee in 1972. Her mother thought that Alexander was from Liverpool, but was young when he left.
I'm waiting for the go a head from my friend before I order the death certificate. I'll keep you informed.

Alexander Mungo (b.1905) did indeed end up in Dundee.
The death extract arrived today and it confirms that the Alexander Mungo who died in Dundee was the son of Archibald Mungo and Martha Williams.

There is a  Rebecca aged 33 and Alexander aged 34 Mungo on the 1911 in West Derby . Could this be the ones you are searching for? I am going to Manchester library later this week where they have free access to the 1911and I will get you the details if this is the right couple..

svb111,

Thank you so much for your kind offer - it is the right couple and I have the information from 1911.
I know Alexander died in 1934 but can't find out what happened to Rebecca. I think they were childless, so this is the end of the line.

Thanks again

Alan
