Jersey help please

We have a Jersey connection in our tree and were wondering if some kind soul would look something up.
Husbands Gt Gt Grandmother comes up as Ellen Clarke on 1871 census living in Northamptonshire. She was born @ 1837 in Jersey.  She had a 5 year old daughter with her on this census Elizabeth who was born in Birmingham.
Ellen went on to re marry and became Mrs George Penn
We are really stuck on this one and can't progress any further until we can come up with her maiden name.    Regards Lincsbabe

The marriage cert for George Penn and Ellen (Jun 1871 Northampton 3b 162) should give her father's (= maiden) name
