Any ideas who/where to contact for info on an American WW2 GI?

I have his name/rank/serial number of the US Army and was hoping to find out if he has drawn a pension from WW2, and any other info which must be on his file. 

I'm almost sure he's deceased by now.
Genealogists don't die, they just lose their census.
