Hi Warren,

I'm not sure if there is a connection as we are having trouble tracing our Brindley family connection.

My James Brindley was born in Arnold Nottingham about 1788 and I can't find his birth and someone on Ancestry has his parents on it as William Brindley and Sarah Houlding m 19 Sept 1785 All Saints, Sadbury, Darbyshire but my cousin and I have not seen any proof as yet. So we are putting this in the unproved possible link category for now.

Kind Regards,

Wayne Cook

Have you checked the Surnames Interest Table, here on RootsChat?

There is a link at the bottom of every RootsChat page.
In the dark-brown box, underneath the sub-heading "Your Tools", you will find Surname Interests.

Thanks KGarrad, not yet, only new here  (only a couple of days) and wasn't aware.

I made comment here as Warren posted "I would be interested to hear from anyone with an interest in the Brindley family of Derbyshire area" as Nottingham borders Derbyshire and someone on Ancestry has posted a connection with the Derbyshire ones (which my cousin and myself need to further investigate).
