Corlea, Drumlish

Can anyone tell me whether Corlea nr Drumlish is a townland - or if not, which townland it is in?  I have been there and know it is nr the townland of Enybegs.

Corlea is not Drumlish..... try Kenagh!

Not many houses in Corlea!!

I think this may be a different Corlea - are you talking about the trackway?

The Corlea I visited is a very small area adjacent to Enybegs townland a couple of miles from Drumlish. Do yu know anything about this place?

Yes the Corlea Visitor Centre, sorry, didn't know of the other Corlea!

Know Drumlish but not a Corlea nearby, sorry!

I just found this website and hope my note will get to the original poster.  Corlea is in between Drumlish and Ennybegs.  Ohill is on the other side of the bog.  My mother grew up in Corlea and I spent a few years there as a child.  It is one road basically.  Very small hamlet - not even a village or town.  Just a lane off of bigger roads.  I was there 4 years ago.  Hasn't changed much.

The name sounds familiar but let me reach out to an aunt who is down in Bantry now but stays in touch with people in the area.  My mother's maiden name was Reynolds.  My grandfather was Michael Francis Reynolds.  My father's family was in Ohill just on the other side of the bog.  His last name is Carolan.

What research have you done with the info posted on this website?  I just did a quick check of marriages in Killoe parish and there are a lot of surnames of:

Also, I noted that one of the persons collecting this info goes by the name of "Cliff Ivers."  So I wondered if you have the correct spelling?
