We use to come and stay at Crieve usually during the summer school holidays. Had many fun days playing in the giant hay shed, trying to annoy the bull in the fields or going past McGoey's gate without getting chased by him!! Also spent time down the shop getting free ice cream (cant remember the kids names who lived down the road past the water pump.

Hello! Stumbled across this a few years too late, but if you're still active here, I'm interested in the above. Where did you stay - was it in the Sheeran's house (almost) across the road from the old School in Cullyfad? I'm one of the McGoeys from Crieve, but I wasn't aware of there ever being a shop in the area; I'd be curious to know what 'McGoey Gate' you went past, as it must be either my Grandfather or Great Grandfather who was doing the chasing?
