Can grandma be saved?
« on: Sunday 11 May 08 13:23 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone,
I wonder if this photo could be repaired/ improved. Sadly Grandma is the damaged one of the trio.
I do hope that the photo is the right size etc.
thanks
heywood

Modified message: I have reposted the picture as suggested by Irene.
It was too big to post at first so I have tried to reduce the size (of something?)
Thanks in advance for your patience.

One from me

It is scanned at a very low resolution (100) so this is the best I could do.

If you can rescan it at between 300-600 dpi you will get better results.

Irene,
thanks for trying and I'll try to rescan! I have done several and kept getting the error message someone else was getting but when I remaned the file the photo goes somewhere (don't ask me- this bit is not my forte  ::)) Then it was too big - so I'll be back later..

oh dear Irene,
it looks as though it's gone pear shaped - shall I remove it altogether?

The resolution is great . ;D..much better.

Note for next time to just scan the photo not the scanner bed. Otherwise you did real well. We like the pics big.

I'll have a go at another restore for you later.
