Hello
This has been bugging me for some time.
My Great-Grandparents ALBERT EDWARD JACKSON (b.1888) and xxxxx HAYES married i think?
Well thats about it. My Grandmother Elizabeth Jackson was born in 1916 in St Helens and i'm not sure if she was the eldest maybe about 90%.
Because we have a picture of her as a young child with her parents and no sign of any other childern.
This is how i got the name of Hayes for her mother, by looking at 'mothers maiden name' online
There its down i think as Hayes but i've had occasions in the past of other branches of the tree where people have their name mis-spelt. So nothing would suprise me.
Thing is i thought i'd find them easy enough but i've never found anything.
All i have to go on is the all the above info plus ALBERT was born also in St Helens.
This is only rumor but once a long long time ago my dad (his side of the family) did say there was a tiny little bit of Scottish blood on his mothers side of the family. Now seen as i've done quite a bit on this side and its all English and Irish i'm certain this would be where the Scottish blood if any did come in.
Plus Hayes is quite common i think in Scotland?
So i ask why no marriage?
Is it missing?
Did they marry in Scotland?
Did they marry?!
I think i'd know about if they didn't marry but still went on to have kids!
I'd be grateful for any help or advise to get this problem off my back
Thankyou
Jonathan
