Dwak:
My grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Wakelin born 1884 in Henley on Thames.
His fathers name was James and his mothers name was Eliza.
It looks like he had 11 brothers & sisters.
I don't know the date of his death but I believe it was in Belize.
Hope this helps

Hi:
My side of the family does not take in Sarah 1803, but I was able to check out the family tree on ancestry.ca and I found:
Sarah's birth name was Sally and she changed it to Sarah when she got married to Marshall Hill in 1824.

Her Parents were
Maher-shalal-hash-baz Wakelin
Born Apr 16, 1755, Lewknor, Oxfordshire
Died Jul 10, 1814, Aston Rowant, Oxfordshire
Mary Croxford
Born Jun 12, 1768, Aston Rowant, Oxfordshire
Died Mar 25, 1851, Aston Rowant, Oxfordshire
Marriage St. Martins, Oxford, Oxfordshire Sep 25, 1798

On the Wakelin Side:
Grandparents (Married 1752) They had 13 children
Adam Wakelin
Born 1727 Mar 10th Lewknor, Oxfordshire
Died Mar 30, 1795 Ashton Rowant Oxfordshire
Mary Croxford
Born 1734 Sep 13th Lewknor, Oxfordshire
Died Aug 30, 1793 Ashton Rowant, Oxfordshire

Great Grandparents on the Wakelin side: (Married 1719) (9 children)
John Wakelin
Born: Oct 17, 1696 Lewknor, Oxfordshire
            Died: no info
Mary Bayley
            Born: Adwell, Oxfordshire
            Died: 1738

Great Great Grandparents on the Wakelin side: (1 child)
James Wakland
Born May 3, 1658 Great Hasaley, Oxfordshire
            Died: 1716
Ann (no other info)

This family tree is quite large.  The children are all listed and the mothers side of the family is also recorded.

Hope this helps

Hi Spannie and Maple9

Thank you for all that info. I have been stuck there for a fair while but now you have shown me where to go next.

Incidently Sarah[ Sally] married Marshall Hill as he called himself in every census but when I checked the PRs he was actually Mahershalalhashbaz Hill. Is it a massive coincidence that her father and husband had such a strange christian name or did they all belong to a religious sect.?
