Hi,

In my research of the Pakefield Lifeboats so far, I hadn't found any evidence of Nathaniel Barber as coxswain of either no.1 or no.2 lifeboat.

If you have a look at my website http://www.pakefield.net/ and click on the lifeboat section, you will see that George Meek Warford was coxswain 1835 - 1923, and my 3rd Great GrandUncle Samuel James Martin was coxswain from 1843 - 1910.

I would be interested in any details that you have of Nathaniel Barber as coxswain of a Pakefield Lifeboat, the only reference I have found is http://www.plimsoll.org/resources/SCCLibraries/WreckReports/14844.asp

I have a colour postcard of the Pakefield Lifeboat, photographed at least around the end of the 19thC. being launched under sail.

It's a 'Jay Em Jay' Series card and is available for sale if anyone is interested.

I'm trying to attach a picture of the card but having some problems!
