 Good Morning Nicky,

From  1871 Channel Islands Census the only match on name / birthplace / age etc appears in the Gsy as follows

Agusta Randell 11  St Saviour, Guernsey, Channel Islands Daughter  St John  Guernsey
Amelia Randell 2  St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands Daughter  St John  Guernsey
Charlotte Randell 41  St Saviour, Guernsey, Channel Islands Wife  St John  Guernsey
Harry Randell 8  St Saviour, Guernsey, Channel Islands Son  St John  Guernsey
Jemima Randell 5  St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands Daughter  St John  Guernsey
Lambert Randell 43  England Head  St John  Guernsey
Lambert Randell 14  St Saviour, Guernsey, Channel Islands Son  St John  Guernsey

rg10/5765 ed10folio121 sch77
The quality of image is poor and I can only read Lamberts occupation as ? of about 3 acres.
There are other Randells appearing on the Jsy census with English origins could these be connected?
Hope this is of help let me know if you would like info on the Jsy Randells.

Hi Tioman

I have a Jemima Rendell married Sam Bishop (brother of my ggfather)
in Axminster in 1894.In 1901 they were living in Chideock, and her age is given as 32. They had two children, the girl's name being Zelia.

Sound like a connection to any of yours?

Best wishes

Pete

Yep I have their marriage certificate and the info from the 1901 census. Did they just have two children??  Any other info would be greatly appreciated.  I have details of her sisters Zelia and Lavinia's marriages. Emelia was my Grandmother, as for the rest no luck yet. Thanks for the info.

I don't have any further information relating to Sam and Jemima. I do know that Harry Bishop, Sam's brother, who was my ggrandfather, also married a Guernsey girl, Mary Ann (surname unknown) and settled on the island.

Best wishes
