Corbett Mannering Marriner Advice/Help Please.

I am looking for a bit of advice if anyone can help. In my tree is Caroline Corbett who is married to John Mannering and they are living in New Dale, Wellington in the 1850s. According the 1871 to 1891 census they were both born in Wellington.The only marriage that appears to fit is in Oct - Dec 1846 which lists Caroline Corbett marrying John Marriner, I will send for the marriage cert but wondered if it is possible for the name to be written incorrectly in the BMD index, as I have the images from 1837online and the only marriage that fits has the man listed as Marriner and there is no Mannering marrying a Corbett. Also, if anyone could look on the 1841 census for a Caroline Corbett in Wellington I would be eternally grateful.
