Alexander McCann is my Great Great Grandfather, Now i know him and his sister Margaret lived with the Hendrens

 Great to get your reply. Alexander McCann was the nephew of my  gr/gr/grandmother Margaret McCann and she was married to John Hendren.
I had seen Alexander and I guess it's his sister Margaret on the 1881/91 census with John and Margaret at Tarbolton.
I don't know much about the McCann side of my ancestor's, I have the marriage of Margaret's parents Peter McCann and Margaret Gemmell for 1826. If you have information on them I would love to know and of course if you don't know much about the Hendrens and would like information I have plenty to share.
By the way, where in the country are you? I am down in Plymouth.

Hi Maureen,I have only got as far back as the 1901census showing Alexander and Jessie living at 87 Annbank and their Daughter Jane Age 1. They went on to have another 8 children and one of them is Patrick Green McCann my Papa. I am trying to trace either my papas side (McCann's) or my nannies side (Brady's) back to Ireland but some of the information is missing at the archives.  I really need to go to the chapel records i think to get what im looking for.  I live in Co Derry Ireland i moved here 9 years ago but i am heading home to Annbank in a months time because i miss it and i need a childminder That is the first i have come across Hendrens but i am sure my dad (Patricks Son) will know more about it.  Do you know any more about McCanns and can i have a bit more info on Peter and Margaret Gemmells marriage year where fathe and mothers name, i would appreciate that thanks Nicola
