This looks like the family from Flushing, Mylor, Cornwall in 1881

http://www.rootschat.com/links/03qf/

Are you looking to reunite the bible, or are they yours?

There is a Lydia on genes who has John & George in her tree....and a possible few others who are researching this family, don't have time to check further, out for lunch.

Thank You for your help Cas,

These names are not in my Family Tree.

If the opportunity presents itself I would like to re-unite the Bible with it's Family.

Regards,

WhiskyMac

How lovely of you to want this to return to family....I just love stuff like this...  :) it is heartwarming for any genealogist...I know how excited I was that my uncle let me copy my g grandfathers' family bible

There are 3 on GenesReunited with some of these members in their tree.  Lydia, has nearly all.  Andrew has John 1836 and some children.  Tim has some children, but not dad.

I have let my sub lapse, as did not use genes any longer.  Looked into this family a little last night, John 1836 is down as John White in 1841, so intriguing, think there may have been a remarriage...

Do you have a sub, you can contact...if not hopefully someone will contact them with a link to this thread  Up to your direction which you choose, there are many here who will gladly help ;D

Regards

hi im new to this site but im actually a Rickard by marriage and my husbands family had family bibles that he now has, our imediate family are from cornwall and we've traced family back to 1786 which is Edward Rickard other names in family are Elijah Rickard, Nicholas Rickard  who married Mary Jane Tink, William Rickard who married Mabel Adams nicholas rickard who married and had my husband John, we have decided to trace the family tree and have about 100 on our tree at the moment, very interested in reading that you have a family bible and wonder if your rickards are related to us. Thats our imediate family but we have others in the bible who came from the St Austell area and Liskeard/st cleer area and Launceston,
Very interested in what you have to say

I thought you might be interested to see a photo of George Hunway (Henry) Rickard who probably started the family bible and his wife Eliza Jane.
Sorry if its a bit big, i dont have a programme on the computer at the mo that can adjust sizes.
