Wow!   :o

I just went for a cup of tea and came back to all this.

Thank you so much.

Florence is one of the nicest ladies I know. Truly amazing. She never had children of her own though, but she would have made a wonderful mother. I go to the store for her, when she needs me to, but she still likes to fend for herself, and loves to go out for her bridge games.

When we were talking today about her birthday coming up, she told me not to buy her anything, because as she said, when you get to her age, if you don't have it, it's because you don't want it.   ;D  However, she does like it when I tell her about researching genealogy, and she couldn't get over the fact that the 1911 Census was online.

I can't wait to put the scrapbook together because I know she will love looking through it.

From the death registrations of George William Houlden's siblings, it appears his mothers maiden surname was Askew.

I am getting very excited!  ;D

Because of what both of you have found so far, I have found a book where the Houlden family is mentioned.

Pioneer life on the Bay of Quinte,

I'm still searching.
