The New Tecumseth, formerly Tecumseth page on the web pages of Wayne Cook of Ontario, Canada lists several settlers from the north of Ireland who arrived in the 1820s.

This is an excellent scholarly site to explore at length if any of your people were Ontario farmers, and you would like to know more about that experience.  Many many links.  Includes a long list of the Ontario Tweedsmuir Histories, a local history project of the Women's Institutes, all of which are held on microfilm at the university of Guelph;  the Histories are evaluated according to how much info they give on individual farms.

McColl Pioneer Cemetery index (Elgin County): http://www.kilvicocharmaig.yk.net/McCollStory.html

www.trentvalleyarchives.com covers a lot of territory, includes an index to the Peterborough Examiner 1922-1962.

http://www.wallcustance.com/memorialforestlist.html  Long list of people who have been remembered with tree planting at the University of Guelph arboretum.  Not clear to me if the dates given are when they died or when the tree was planted.  Presumably most were local people.  Seems to cover primarily the last 20 years.
