Marriage in Wakefield
« on: Sunday 06 July 08 04:05 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me find the marriage of Basil Lockwood Abson to ?? ?? c 1943 ? He was the son of Harry Abson and Laura Lockwood of Wakefield. Basil was born 1921 and he had a sister Emily Jane b 1917 who m'd John S. Stables in 1943 in Wakefield. I'm beginning to think he didn't actually "marry" anyone, but he did have a child, and their may be a baptism that gives the mother's name.A lot of the family "events' took place in St John's or All Saints (?) church in Wakefield.Any help will be greatly appreciated. Abson family can be found in Normanton (just outside Wakefield) They were part of an Estate Agent's firm Abson Blaza in Normanton itself. This maybe of some use.
Marsh - Northallerton / Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire
Haliday - London / Sussex
Townsend - Salford
Jobson - Horncastle / Middlesbro
Dunn - Carlton / Coxhoe - Yorkshire
Griffiths - London / Montgomeryshire
