It is now looking like, based on information found by noelan, that it is actually Margaret Cameron who married a John Cameron and travelled to NSW, Australia in 1839.

Margaret's parents are Kenneth and Christina Cameron.
John's Alexander father and mother Janet Grant.

My thoughts are that Margaret is the sister of my Finlay Cameron who married Margaret Grant.
