Grave in Thurso Cemetery
« on: Sunday 13 July 08 08:57 BST (UK) »
Is there anyone going to Thurso Cemetery who would be willing to photograph my great-grandfather's grave there for me?
He is Alexander Robertson, who died 22nd November 1896 age 63.
I am told he is buried in Lair K59, on the right hand side as you enter the Cemetery, in the upper block of two blocks of graves, 9th stone from the left in the second row from the bottom.
Should make it easier to find. Thanks in advance, Alastairgm.
Moray - (In Rafford) MacDonald, Laing, Younie.
Orkney - (In Evie.) Robertson, Sinclair, Laird.

Hi there,

I had a little look this evening but no joy I'm afraid.  I didn't find any identifier (Lair K59 eg) but I was not certain I'd understood your directions. I do not have a 'map' of the Cemetery.

From the main gates, I turned right and explored the areas I thought were relevant (see pic below).

If you care to pm me with email address, I'll discuss further.
