A Bit of a Challenge
« on: Wednesday 30 July 08 22:35 BST (UK) »
We are hoping to sell some Christmas Cards depicting scenes from our village. This will be in aid of our local Community Group.  The photographs we have selected are of varying quality and usually depict fairly austere scenes as we are an ex-industrial village.  We are hoping to do a set of six photos. If anyone could rise to the challenge we would be so appreciative.  We need someone who can brighten them up, maybe colour them and put them in a nice Xmas Border - I am attaching one of the selected photos.  We are a non profit making organisation.  I can send a bigger image if need be.

As an afterthought as these are fairly angular scenes I wonder if they would look good in an oval elipse which may soften them a bit ?  The buildings are red brick with black slate roofs.  The shop far right at the front was Sharplin's Newsagents.  The place is Main Road Jacksdale.

Dear Dave & Drifter

Both cards are absolutely amazing. Thank you.  Some more ideas and variations would be great so I can put it to the committee.  Rootschat will get all the credit of course.  I think we need to decide on a theme and then find another 5 photos that fit in with the theme. One is bright and festive - the other is cool and dreamy -possibly the answer lies between the two ? Some colour is nice - I like the faded ellipse look. But a few more alternatives would really help. Any chance of a bit of snow ?
