I have details from the grave of Captain David Kinnear, born in Montrose on 15th November 1826. Let me know if you are interested and I will provide the transcription,

Hi Shirley,

The inscription says:

In loving remembrance of Captain David Kinnear of the ship CORIULANUS born at Montrose 15th November 1826, drowned in the Irish sea, 14th Aug 1861 and lies buried in PORTPATRICK, Wictonshire and of his wife Anne Orkney born at Montrose 15th SeptR 1826, died at Aberdeen 5th JanRY 1896.
"Faithful unto death"
Their daughter Mary born 23rd FebY 1856, died 16th OctR 1932. Margaret Anne born 20th NovR 1857. Died 13th April 1935.
"And they shall be gathered from all the ends of the earth"

I will let you know if I see any more Kinnears or Murisons in Montrose. BTW, does this happen to be one of your ancestors?

Hi Lucia, thanks for the info, I will print it out for future reference. My Gt g/father was William Kinnear MURISON, his mother was Amelia KINNEAR and her father William KINNEAR. All from Montrose, so there is a possible link.
