I only checked LDS catalogue online to see if they have copies the records not the actual church records.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thanks again - I had checked the LDS records too.
Are you able to check the Galway parish records ?
Without knowing where you live or how convenient, or otherwise it is for you to check, I hesitate to ask.
BUT, if you are able, I would be very grateful.

How I envy you people in Ireland and  the UK having access to old parish records that we can only dream about in rural NSW.
As all my husband's lines come from Ireland on both his parents' sides, it is  very frustrating from here.  There's O'Brien, Mortimer, Davies, Campbell plus the offshots from these main lines - and all Irish.
