Link; The Heritage of Military Bands.

I was intrigued to discover that a regimental bandmaster, Mr Edward Kauntze, accompanied the 11th Light Dragoons to India on board the 'Atlas' in 1819 and wondered about the nature/history of the band. I've found the following site particularly helpful:
