Hi there,

My father is the James Crowley born to James and Rose McMahon (Clare) and I would love to know more about my family in Ireland or at least the story behind James who emigrated here in 1924.  My father (James' and Rose's son) is deceased as is Rose obviously and I never really got the story since I was always told that James from Ireland was deceased prior to my father's death.  Again, I would really appreciate any information that you have.

Thank you so much!

Hello,

Great to hear from a cousin whose grandfather James was a brother of my Patrick Crowley.  I have done extensive research on the Crowley family and it's ongoing.

James was 22 years old when he arrived in New York and onwards to his brother Martin who resided in Chicago.  Your grandmother Rose was expecting your dad when the accident happened.  I don't want to go into personal details on this page.  You have to make 3 postings before I can personal message you.

My father James Crowley (son of James and Rose McMahon) was an only child.  Rose never remarried and two sisters, Beatrice McMahon and Margaret McMahon all helped raise my father.
