Hello Listers

Any information out there on Harry Croudace who died in Pontypool in 1980.

I think he was living Newcastle upon Tyne prior to his death

Thanks All

Hi, Jasper6bears before we can help you we need to know what exactly you are looking for and what information you already have :)

ps i think you may also need to start a new thread so you dont hijack this one

Moderator comment: it's a very unusual name, so I disagree on this occasion - might be that the OP can help?

I imagine you know Croudaces are still in the town (Monmouth) If nobody is local I may be able to help.  The Forest of Dean web site has parish records for Dixton and Wyesham which will surely have Croudaces.

My Mother attended the school in Goldwire Lane Monmouth in the 1930's. I remember her saying her teacher was a Miss Croudace. I do not recall her first name. will check with my Mother and let you know.

Miss Croudace probably moved to teach at the Priory Street Boys school, she was close to retirement when I went there in the mid 50's  Her husband ran a building and decorating firm in St James Square.  There are photo's on the Monmouth group facebook page.
